Instantly Feel Better In The Morning
Mornings can be rough.
Not because you're lazy — but because your hips and lower back feel like they’ve aged 20 years overnight.
And if you sit a lot during the day? That stiffness doesn’t go away… it builds up.
Tight hips are one of the biggest reasons your back feels locked up in the morning.
Most people try to stretch their back directly — but the real solution often starts in the hips.
That’s where the frog stretch comes in.
It’s one of the most underrated mobility moves for opening up the inner hips and groin — two areas that quietly tighten up from hours of sitting.
When these areas loosen, your spine gets more freedom to move, your pelvis resets, and your lower back finally gets to chill out.
Here’s how to do it:
Start on your hands and knees, then slowly slide your knees apart as wide as they’ll comfortably go
Keep your feet directly behind your knees and your shins resting flat. Lower down to your forearms or stay tall on your hands, whatever feels best.
From there, either stay still and breathe, or I prefer gently rocking your weight forward and back for about 45 seconds
It looks simple, but for tight hips and a cranky lower back, this stretch hits exactly where most people need it.
Add it to your morning routine or do it after sitting for long periods — and you’ll start feeling the difference in just a few days.
If you’re having trouble understanding the form, be sure to check out my new youtube video that will be dropping in a couple days on FitZip. It’s about stretching exercises
Have a great day!
