Can you pass this 10-second test?
Here’s a simple way to check how well your body is aging:
Stand on one leg. No shoes. Eyes open.
Now close your eyes.
Count how long you last before tipping or flailing.
If you didn’t make it to 10 seconds, you’re not alone.
But that is your body waving a little red flag.
Balance isn’t just about coordination — it’s about how well your joints, stabilizer muscles, and nervous system are working together.
And after 40, it’s one of the first things to fade unless you train it.
The good news? You can rebuild it quickly.
Here’s a simple exercise to start with:
Try single-leg balance with toe taps:
Stand on your right leg with a soft bend in the knee
While balancing, tap your left foot lightly in front of you, then to the side, then behind you — like you're tracing a triangle
Move slow and controlled
Aim for 3 rounds of 5–10 taps per direction, then switch legs
This trains balance, coordination, and deep stabilizer activation all at once — without needing any equipment.
Start including drills like this in your daily routine.
Better balance today = better movement for the long haul.
Have a great day!
